Memorial Day 2014 is almost here and as we prepare to honor the fallen heroes of the United States Armed Forces, there is traditionally multiple barbecues to attend, several beers to drink and then of course all-day TV marathons to watch. Some of the TV shows to watch this weekend are dedicated to the Americans who have dies while in military service, most are just purely perpetual couch lounging perfection. Luckily for you, after you have enjoyed all of those Memorial Day themed cocktails, and inhaled as many burgers as you can, we have the ultimate scoop on what and when to watch some quality TV marathons starting, Saturday, May 24!

Memorial Day Weekend Marathon at 6 a.m. on TCM

Turner Classic Movies airs three days of movies about servicemen and women in times of war and peace, and in situations both dramatic and comedic. The marathon also includes touching stories of the families who wait at home while their loved ones are away. Thirty-four films range from the silent era (the World War I comedy-drama “The Better ‘Ole” from 1926) to the 1970s, with Clint Eastwood leading “Kelly’s Heroes” (1970). Other notable titles airing during the marathon include “Sergeant York” (1941); “No Time for Sergeants” (1958); “The Best Years of Our Lives” (1946); “Twelve O’Clock High” (1949); “The Dirty Dozen” (1967, pictured at top); “Where Eagles Dare” (1969); “Objective, Burma!” (1945) in addition to others.“

Classic War Saturday at 6 a.m. on TCM

“A day of war movies, including “The Sands of Iwo Jima” (1950); “The Longest Day” (1962); “Heartbreak Ridge” (1986); and more.”

World War II in HD at 9 a.m. on History Channel

“Check out WWII in HD on History, the first ever World War II documentary presented in full, immersive HD color.”

Pawn Stars Marathon on History Channel

Episode begin on Saturday at 7 p.m.; Sunday at 3 p.m.; Monday, Memorial Day, at 9 a.m.

DaVinci’s Demons Marathon at 8 p.m. on Starz

“The four latest episodes of “Da Vinci’s Demonswill air back-to-back on Saturday May 24 at 8 p.m. Then the entire second season will air back-to-back on May 31 at 12 p.m., leading up to the Season 2 finale.”

Sunday, May 25

Indianapolis 500 at 12 p.m. on ABC

“Indianapolis 500 will be broadcast on ABC with pre-race content beginning at 11 a.m., race coverage at 12 p.m.”

Bar Rescue Marathon at 11 a.m. on Spike

“Spike will be showing Bar Rescue starring Jon Taffer all day on Sunday, May 25 starting at 11am and concluding on Memorial Day at 4 a.m.

A Revolutionary Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on AMC

A marathon of the first several episodes of AMC’s new Revolutionary War drama “Turn” leading into a new episode at 9 p.m.”

National Memorial Day Concert 2014 at 8 p.m. on PBS

Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise cohost the 25th anniversary broadcast of this night of remembrance honoring the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform, their families at home and all those who have given their lives for our country. The National Memorial Day Concert airs live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol before an audience of hundreds of thousands, millions at home, and to our troops around the world via American Forces Network.”

World War II in Color Marathon at 2 a.m. on American Heroes Channel

Cops Marathon at 12 p.m. on Spike
