Melania Trump appears to be living a better, simple life with her husband – former United States President Donald Trump. A lot has changed for the power couple since Jan. 20, the day when they vacated the White House with new president Joe Biden taking over.
Most will recall that Trump lost his voice on social media, especially when his Twitter account was cut off. The move was made to prevent further instability in the country and updates on the former US president have been minimal since then.
However, it appears Trump is enjoying a stress-free life now according to former campaign manager Jason Miller. Speaking to the Sunday Times, Miller claims that Trump is “truly relaxed” after a long while even if he had to deal with an impeachment trial soon.
"He’s said that not being on social media, and not being subject to the hateful echo chamber that social media too frequently becomes, has actually been good,” Miller stated.
Aside from that, Miller also added that Melania Trump is also benefitting from the forced abstinence in social media with both enjoying the quiet life a whole lot more.
“That’s something the first lady has backed up as well. She has said she loves it, that he’s much happier and is enjoying himself much more,” the former campaign manager added.
Will Trump ever return to social media? In a separate interview with Breitbart, Miller mentioned it is a possibility although nothing is imminent.
“Whether that's joining an existing platform or creating his new platform, there are a number of different options and a number of different meetings that they've been having on that front. Nothing is imminent on that,” he explained.
Miller was with the Trumps when they left the White House aboard Air Force One. He added that Donald Trump was in a good mood when they left although there were tender moments with Trump’s family.
"Some folks were very sad this day had come, but there was a sense of pride that this was the single most successful first term in US presidential history,” Miller explained.
It, however, remains to be seen if this happy place will remain once the impeachment trial begins on Feb. 9. But according to Miller, Trump is confident about not getting impeached and there is no pressure of any sort.
“He is going to be acquitted,” Miller said. “There is no real scenario in which he is going to be convicted, so the pressure is completely off.”
