Meghan Markle's Brother Thomas Markle Jr. Snubs Her In 'Big Brother VIP' Preview

Meghan Markle's half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., leaves no stone unturned as far as dissing his royal sister is concerned. The same was evidenced in the first trailer of Australia’s “Big Brother VIP,” where the 54-year-old dished out a caustic remark, after being roped in as one of the contestants of the show.

According to Fox News, Markle Jr. is heard recounting on the show that he warned Prince Harry about what he was getting into. The former “Suits” actor’s step brother apparently added that the Duchess of Sussex was “shallow” and could ruin the Duke’s life.

Fans were given a peek into the guestlist after the show’s official Twitter page shared a short clip of the trailer on Sunday. Caitlyn Jenner and Omarosa Manigault Newman are among the other stars who will be featuring in the reality show. Meghan's half-brother began by introducing himself as “Meghan Markle’s brother,” and quipped how he’s the biggest brother of them all.

The drama comes barely days after the Duchess turned 40, and ushered in the new decade of her life with charitable initiative. The project named "40x40," asks 40 individuals to devote 40 minutes of their day to help a woman returning to the workforce after the pandemic.

Harry and Meghan have been vocal about their familial struggles. The mum-of-two is also estranged from her father Thomas Markle, 77, and Thomas Jr.’s older sibling Samantha Markle, 56.

The Duchess had opened up about her rocky relationship with her father in an explosive chat with Oprah Winfrey in March, citing how their strained equation has had a lot to do with his paparazzi scandal, which came to light barely weeks before her wedding to Harry. Meghan, however, expressed gratitude to her mum for maintaining a dignified stance through it all.

While Thomas denied the allegations pertaining to the controversy at the start, he later confessed to having lied about his involvement with them.

Meghan has been unperturbed by the ugly accusations hurled at her by her step-siblings, for the most part. Despite everything that Samantha and Markle Jr. have said, Harry’s wife maintained that she barely knew them and remembers growing up as an only child all through her childhood. In a recent report by E!News the Duchess alleged that Samantha changed her surname back to Markle only after she started dating Harry, and how that said “enough”.
