We all know Meghan Markle is proud of her American heritage and it is also believed that the Sussexes have decided to raise their little one with influences of both US and UK culture. In fact, the Sussexes are going to take a break for six weeks and even travel to the US, which will be their first time as a family.

According to the Express, Meghan will ensure that Archie gets accustomed to American culture. But, that’s not all, they will also observe a major tradition when in the US.

Culture experts from the app Babbel had a chat with the Express.co.uk. They said that the Duchess might demand that Archie celebrate the important American holiday, Thanksgiving. The spokesperson told the publication that, “Possibly the most American holiday, Thanksgiving, is one of the traditions Meghan is likely to insist upon celebrating as her child grows up.”

Thanksgiving occurs on the fourth Thursday of November. It is a time when the whole family comes together and enjoys a scrumptious meal. Along with that, everyone watches the parade or a football match with one another, spending quality time. And, this simple tradition is something Meghan wants Archie to enjoy.

The spokesperson also said, “The roots of Thanksgiving are closely linked with British history - the day commemorates the arrival of the Pilgrims on Plymouth Rock in 1621 and the celebration of the first harvest with the natives.”

“We’re not sure Thanksgiving will become a national holiday here, but the Sussex family is likely to spend the day in the States with Meghan’s loved ones, sharing a mighty feast and giving thanks.”

We are still not sure if that is going to be the case. But, we know that it is essential to Meghan that Archie embraces his American culture, too. She wants her little one to be aware of her family history and his American heritage.
