Meghan Markle may have just given Kate Middleton a secret nod when she introduced her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, for the first time. The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by Prince Harry at that time.
It has been revealed that Meghan wrapped Archie in a leaves and flower shawl from GH Hurt & Son, which is the same brand that Kate used to present all three of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. However, Kate and Prince William introduced their children to the world outside the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing.
Meghan and Prince Harry, on the other hand, were at Windsor Castle when they introduced their son to the entire world. The Sussexes also showed Archie for the first time two days after he was born. Kate, on the other hand, showed her children to the world just hours after she gave birth.
The “Suits” alum looked glowing and happy when she stepped out of Windsor Castle with her little bundle of joy and her husband. The former Hollywood actress gushed over the two men in her life and said that giving birth to Archie was magical.
“It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing,” she said. “I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm,” Meghan added. Prince Harry quickly uttered a joke by saying that he doesn’t know whom their son got his calm temperament from.
Apparently, GH Hurt & Son is a favorite among royal moms. Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II have also used products from the brand. Following Meghan’s recent outing with her family, a spokesperson for the company expressed their happiness over her choice.
“We feel so proud and honored that Harry and Meghan have chosen our beautiful merino wool lacy knitted baby shawls and in doing so have continued a royal tradition now going back over 70 years,” the spokesperson said.
Meghan gave birth to Archie on Monday at 5:26 a.m. at the Portland Hospital in London. Shortly after his birth, the Duchess of Sussex was transported to Frogmore Cottage.
