One of the most highly anticipated vehicles of the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show, car enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the next McLaren hypercar ever since the original McLaren F1 road car ceased production nearly 15 years ago.
Dubbed the P12, the new McLaren hypercar will feature the most exotic materials, the most advanced engineering, and the most technical manufacturing processes known to man. The P12 will be built around McLaren's signature MonoCell carbon fiber structure and new titanium and magnesium components will push the envelop in structural rigidity and lightweight architecture. McLaren claims the curb weight of the P12 will fall below the 2,700 lbs mark.

By combining the 3.8 liter twin-turbocharged V8 from the MP4-12C with a new hybrid KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) drivetrain, McLaren also claims that the P12 will offer a power output exceeding 803-hp.
Finally, according to a past interview with McLaren Asia Pacific regional director Ian Gorsuch, the P12 will promise to deliver the "world's best aerodynamics."
McLaren has yet to unveil official images or performance specs of its most important model, but the latest "McLaren vs Aerodynamics - The Next Chapter" teaser video offers the best impression of the P12 so far.
Emphasizing the new McLaren's aerodynamic efficiency, streaks of light flow over the P12's invisible body. The light streaks seem to indicate an aggressive grille opening at the front, an incredibly sculpted canopy roof-line with an integrated roof scoop, and finally, the absence of a rear wing suggests that the P12 will feature active aero components like the Pagani Huayra.
We won't know for sure until McLaren decides to reveal official pictures. Stay tuned as we draw closer to the official public debut of the McLaren P12 at the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show.
