A large dark bruise on President Donald Trump's right hand, pictured during his Monday meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, has set internet sleuths spiraling.

"Trump has a massive bruise on the back of his right hand. How did he get that? Is it from an IV? Did he fall? What aren't we being told about his health?? #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace," one X user posted.

Another pointed out a pattern.

"Whoa, this looks exactly like the bruises Trump had before on his right hand. Trump holding newspapers: August 2020. Trump with Elon: December 2024. Is Trump hiding a medical condition? Is this why he wouldn't release his medical records?" the user wrote.

"Scrolling Getty and couldn't help but notice this photo of a huge bruise on Trump's hand today," another user commented.

Others speculated about what the bruise could be from, with several users suggesting it could have been from an IV.

"Queen Elizabeth had similar bruising on her hands when they kept dragging her out to entertain various people in the last week of her life. Glad Getty Images is paying attention to Trump's health since the doctors around him are claiming he's the healthiest man in history," one post read.

Trump, 78, has long evaded disclosures about his health. In 2015, he released a four-paragraph letter from his doctor declaring him "the healthiest person ever elected to the presidency," the New York Times reported in October 2024.

When hospitalized with COVID-19 in 2020, his condition was later revealed to be more serious than initially reported.

Trump's campaign has also been vague about his recovery from the attempted assassination last year, releasing only a brief letter about his ear wound.

At 78, Trump is the oldest U.S. president, surpassing former President Joe Biden, whose age dominated debates.
