Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took to social media to mourn the death of a Georgia woman who she claimed was killed as a result of "Democrat's open border and cartel first policies."

Rep. Greene posted about the death of 52-year-old Camilla Williams on X.

"In Georgia, we are mourning the tragic and completely avoidable murder of another Georgia woman because of Democrat's open border and cartel first policies!!!" she wrote.

"Camillia Williams, a mother of five and grandmother, was brutally murdered by an illegal monster!! Deportation is not enough, GIVE HIM THE DEATH PENALTY!!!!!" she continued.

21-year-old David Hector Rivas-Sagastume, a Honduran native who, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), entered the country illegally in March of 2021, has been accused of committing the murder.

Williams' body was discovered on March 14 at 282 Pat Mell Rd. Rivas-Sagastume allegedly put Williams into a chokehold until she lost consciousness. He has been arrested and charged with capital murder.

According to her family, Williams believed a man had been following her in the days leading up to her death. Rivas-Sagastume's connection to Williams has not yet been determined.

Rivas-Sagastume was arrested by Border Patrol in July of 2023 and ordered to be removed from the country.

"He was issued a notice to appear and paroled into the country by the previous administration," said a statement from the Department of Homeland Security. "A judge ordered him removed on July 11, 2023. On March 18, 2025, he was arrested by the Cobb County Police Department for capital murder and other crimes."

"ICE has lodged an immigration detainer with the Cobb County Jail. President Trump and Secretary Noem will not allow criminal illegal aliens—including accused murderers—to be loose on America's streets."

He was denied bond by a Cobb County magistrate judge.
