Mario López is one of the most talented hosts on television, which is why it should be no surprise to fans that López will be rejoining the cast of "The X Factor" in the upcoming season of the show. Mario López will reportedly return, though his counterpart Khloe Kardashian will not return to the show.
"They are asking Mario [López] to come back, but not Khloe," a source told the New York Post. Experts have been extremely critical of Khloe Kardashian, 28, who often seemed to be unprepared on camera and generally did no fare as well as Mario López.
"I am sure there was a big percentage of Khloe's fans who followed her to 'X Factor.'" said LA hosting expert Marki Costello according to the Post. "But at the end of the day, when she doesn't know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it?"
"It was really hard for me to watch Mario with her," she added. "It made me, as a viewer, almost uncomfortable."
Khloe Kardashian explained how she felt during "The X Factor" in an interview with HuffPost Live.
"I've never done live TV before, and I was asked to not do any hosting lessons because they wanted me to be just myself. I found the day before because the stage was just built, that I couldn't read the teleprompter without glasses, so I had to get contacts the day before." she said.
"Just learning how there's a screaming audience and you don't yell because the mic is right there ... I will have an earpiece in my ear, and while I'm trying to read the teleprompter then I have someone counting down ... and they're like, 'Okay, ask Simon this or that' ... There were so just so many pieces I never knew were involved in live TV," she added.
"I do feel like through every show I got better and better, but my first week I literally was like, 'I am going to die. I want to fake a heart attack,'" she said.
Mario López has been relatively quiet about his breakup with Khloe Kardashian on the set of "The X Factor." He hasn't said anything publicly regarding the show. Khloe is expected to make another appearance on her family's reality TV show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
Here's how fans reacted to the Mario López news:
"Casually saw Mario López today. living in LA is literally the best," tweeted Nicole Allen.
