Early today Nintendo help a Nintendo Direct broadcast specifically in regards to the upcoming "Mario Kart 8" title!
Among the big news announced was a "Mario Kart 8" Wii U bundle which includes the game itself, a 32GB black Wii U console along with a red Wii U wheel and a Mario Wii Remote Plus. The bundle will be available May 30 for $330.
Additonally all copies of "Mario Kart 8" will come with a free download code for one of four Wii U games. If gamers register the game on Club Nintendo before July 31, they get a code for their choice of "New Super Mario Bros. U," "The Wind Waker HD," "Pikmin 3" or "Wii Party U."
The Nintendo Direct also confirms some online multiplayer details. Gamers will be able to play in races of up to 12 players, using voice chat and choosing from four different modes including Worldwide, Regional, Friends and Tournament matches. The Tournament matches can be customized by players and set for different times and days of the week.
There were also some in-game items announced like the Super Horn which emits a powerful shock wave to take out anything nearby and the Crazy Eight, a whirl of eight different items that players unleash one by one. If you happened to miss the Nintendo Direct broadcast check it out below!
