Singer Marilyn Manson was issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday for his alleged failure to answer to pending assault charges involving a videographer. Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, was issued warrants for two counts of Class A misdemeanor simple assault during a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in August 2019.
Although police did not provide any specific details about the assault as well as the identity of the female videographer--Fox News stated that the video person was subcontracted by a local company to film the concert. She was at the time located in the stage pit area when the alleged assaults occurred.
Manson’s attorney, Howard King also issued a statement calling the allegations “ludicrous” after concert attendees said that Manson "shot snot" out of his nose.
"This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply," King said.
Police said, the misdemeanor claim carries a jail sentence of up to one year and a $2,000 fine. One concertgoer alleged to PEOPLE that Manson had no regard for the videographer when he carried on spitting at her during his performance.
“He was spitting everywhere and one time it got on her camera so she wiped it off and looked semi-irritated. He noticed this and kept purposely spitting on her camera," the attendee claimed.
"I think her final straw is he got on the floor, got within 2-3 feet of her and hacked a giant snot rocket at her not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she stormed off and he just laughed."
Another attendee concurred, stating that he "bent down to shoot his snot all over this woman. I can remember him just laughing about what he did."
The Gilford Police Department issued a statement on its Facebook page explaining that the arrest warrant for Manson: "Warner, his agent and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges," they said.
The news of Manson’s arrest warrant comes just several months after a slew of women accused Manson of sexual, physical and psychological abuse. Among the women were actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco.
