Unfortunately but unsurprisingly, Mariah Carey is at the center of relationship rumors. Carey and boyfriend Bryan Tanaka had been spotted at a promotional event in LA just a few days ago, looking happy as always.
However, rumors that the 49-year-old singer is splitting up with Tanaka to get back together with her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, to have another baby still found a way to make its rounds.
Per Gossip Cop, Woman’s Day, an American woman’s magazine, published an article that contains false news. It features a source close to the Songbird Supreme telling them that she still has feelings for the 38-year-old actor.
“I still Carey for you!” is the subtitle of the said feature. However, none of it is true, according to the famous fact-checking website.
“[Cannon] told Mariah he’d do whatever it took to win her trust back and has even signed a prenup-style agreement with an $8 million cheating clause,” reads the Woman’s Day article. “[Carey] called off her relationship with dancer boyfriend Bryan Tanaka when things began getting serious again,” added the source.
Carey and Cannon got married in the spring of 2008, and they filed for divorce in December 2014. The two share 8-year-old twins, Moroccan Scott (Roc) and Monroe (Roe), whom they’re coparenting. “I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk,” says Carey, via People.
“She’s hoping like crazy that she and Nick will be able to have another baby, although she’s been warned by her doctors there’s a very slim chance given her age,” said the insider of Woman’s Day. “Mariah, however, has never been good at taking no for an answer. She’s convinced that with advanced fertility treatments, she’ll be like Brigitte Nielsen as the next celebrity to have a baby in their 50s.”
Carey has been with her current beau since 2016, but there isn’t much news about them. “I don’t really talk about my personal life because that’s what I used to do, and it really worked for a minute back, a while ago,” Carey in 2017 said to Associated Press. “I just don’t feel comfortable talking about my personal life … me and my boyfriend don’t want to do that.”
