Marco Antonio Solís, the famed Mexican rock musician, has played two sold-out concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Solis played his tracks from his latest album "Gracias Por Estar Aqui" as well as some of his biggest hits including “Si No Te Hubieras Ido", "Mas Que Tu Amigo”, “Morenita” and “Tu Cárcel” among many others. He played at Estadio Ferro in Buenos Aires to over twenty thousand people over Saturday and Sunday the 16th and 17th of March.
Marco Antonio Solís, sometimes called the 'Poet of the Century,' was dressed in a sharp suit when he came on stage at 9:00 pm to sing "Sin Pensarlo" and begin a tremendous concert, reaffirming his place as one of the biggest names in Latin music. "Gracias Por Estar Aquí," Solis' new album, keeps the emblematic sound that characterizes so much of his work, while simultaneously layering a more personal, intimate touch. Recorded in the U.S. and Italy, the album has an international feel while remaining truly Mexican.
With a career spanning more than 40 years and with over 30 milllion albums sold, Marco Antonio Solis is one of the most successful Latino musicians in the world. He has given numerous tours and won a number of awards, including three Latin Grammy awards, three Premio Lo Nuestro awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has become something of an icon for the Mexican rock music, both in Latin America and around the world.
