From a series that was originally set to get the ax, “Manifest” is gearing up for its final season which offers a lot of storylines left unsettled.
Most recall how things are reportedly about to change with Ben Stone (Josh Dallas) believed to be transitioning into a dark character.
Aside from him, there is of course the alleged death of Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis) and the sudden teenage-version appearance of Cal Stone (Ty Doran).
There is also that brewing love triangle between Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh), Zeke (Matt Long) and Jared (J.R. Ramirez) which should be another angle to watch.
However, it seems there will be new twists happening and it will be interesting how they will figure in these storylines or have something different.
At least three new characters will be introduced in “Manifest” season 4. According to What's On Netflix, the three confirmed additions are Henry Kim, Kyle Boyd, Tela and June.
Kim is described as an Asian male between the ages of 50-80 years of age. The character must appear frail and thin and speak English with a noticeable accent. The character was one of the passengers of flight 828 who returns to Singapore where he is detained after miraculously returning. He undergoes a military tribunal due to fear and suspicion of passengers rising. He is later executed by the Singaporean government.
Micaela will reportedly discover Kim from Captain Kate Bowers and his death will figure prominently as to why she will quit her job.
As for Boyd, he is another passenger from flight 828, an indigenous from the Hopi Tribe and white.
Tela and June are said to be minor characters. The former is an Indigenous from the Shinnecock Indian Nation and the latter is an Indigenous from the Hopi Tribe and “infirmed in a hospital bed.”
From the list, it appears Henry Kim will have a more meaningful role. More are expected to follow.
With 20 episodes left, expect more twists to evolve as Jeff Rake tries to wrap up the series that ironically got a resurrection of its own thanks to Netflix.
