For a team that struggles to score, Hernandez is constantly at the center of every play and even though El Tri didn’t have a great experience in the CONFED Cup, Chicharito is without a doubt one of the best players in the field. Manchester United has been very vocal about its desire to improve heading into next season.

Even though the club won another English Premier League championship last year, first-year manager David Moyes is eager to add to the solid level of talent handed to him by recently-retired manager Alex Ferguson.

While some speculation indicated that Cristiano Ronaldo could depart Real Madrid and return to Old Trafford, the major focus during the current transfer window has been on Tottenham's Gareth Bale.

The Spurs are understandably interested in receiving the best possible deal in return for the international superstar and since Man U has more than a handful of talented players, it should come as no surprise that Moyes and company are in the race for Bale.

According to Daily Star, one of those players Manchester United could use to acquire Gareth Bale is current striker Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez.

A player that continues to rise in popularity - especially as a member of the Mexican national team - Hernandez continues to come up in possible transfer moves because Man U is completely set on landing Gareth Bale since Real Madrid is no longer considered the favorite as they struggle to come up with the proper money.

Along with Hernandez, David Moyes has agreed to send a substantial amount of cash in order to make this deal happen.

The proposed offer could benefit the El Tri star as well since the 26-year-old hasn't been a featured player at Old Trafford despite the love and support he receives from the loyal Old Trafford fan base.

As Sam Tighe of Bleacher Report indicates, Hernandez has a definite impact each time he graces the pitch but since he was handed a significant role when Alex Ferguson was in charge, another season on the bench with newcomer David Moyes could lead to Hernandez requesting a transfer of his own down the road.

"Chicharito" may have made only nine starts, but he averaged a goal every 90 minutes, an impressive statistic whichever way you look at it.

With Moyes in charge and Rooney out of the side, the question surfaces: Does Hernandez have a chance at regular first-team football, or will he be marginalized once more?

His lack of involvement in United's preseason campaign-partly due to the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, partly due to injury-has further clouded the issue, and it's tough to tell where he stands.

Another season on the bench could see the Mexican international itching to leave, and he's already faced fitness issues with the national side due to a lack of football at the club level.

Man U's willingness to offer the Mexican star along with cash does certainly put them in the race for Bale but with the transfer window closing in early September, the deal may need to become the ultimate priority before Tottenham walks away or worse, Real Madrid comes up with the proper funds.

Stay tuned Man U fans!
