Manchester United have dropped major transfer hints over the futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba following the release of a poster for their pre-season tour.
Man Utd put Ronaldo at the front and center of their pre-season tour poster, with Alex Telles and Pogba on each side. Ronaldo and Pogba's futures at the club are unclear; the latter is reportedly out of contract this summer. However, the poster's release appeared to encourage the club's fans that Ronaldo and Pogba could stay at Old Trafford beyond the summer.
Ronaldo's career at Old Trafford is uncertain, with the Portugal international coming up to the halfway point of his two-year contract at the club. Though Ronaldo has netted 18 goals this season across all competitions, speculation emerged that he might move on this summer following the club's planned changes to management and their squad. Also, United's failure to qualify for the Champions League is expected to be among the reasons fans would see him move.
Man Utd are currently sitting in sixth place, four points off the top four, which is Arsenal. Meanwhile, Pogba's contract will soon expire. However, there has been no progress or news over a new deal. He has hardly been seen this season due to injury, scoring just once in 23 games across competitions.
The Red Devils are also set to experience massive changes following the arrival of a new permanent manager at Old Trafford. Among the top picks are Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino.
Man Utd are scheduled to face Liverpool in Bangkok on July 12 in "The Match" Centenary Cup at the Rajamangala stadium. They will then travel to Australia for several pre-season games against Crystal Palace and an A-League team — United's first visit to Melbourne since 1999. Man Utd will play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against local A-League team Melbourne Victory on July 15 and against Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on July 19.
United football director John Murtough shared, "Pre-season tours are such an important part of the squad's preparation for the season ahead, so it's crucial to have excellent training facilities and high-quality opposition. We're delighted that we'll have both these things during our visits to Bangkok and Melbourne this summer, and we're looking forward to playing in front of our fans in both cities for the first time in a number of years."
