Maná kicked off February with two major milestones in their 30-year-old trajectory. The Mexican rock band revealed Tuesday that they will receive their very own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They will also rock the stage on the popular late night show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that the iconic Mexican group will be honored with the 2,573rd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, under the Recording category. “As one of Latin America’s most popular rock bands, Maná is sure to bring many fans to Hollywood for the dedication ceremony," expressed Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, in a statement. "They are not only well known throughout Latin America, here in the United States and across the world as well!," Ana added.
Fher Olvera, Alex González, Juan Calleros and Sergio Vallín, who join Latino stars such as Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Los Tigres del Norte, Thalia and more, will receive their star on Wednesday, February 10 at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Live Nation. Renowned Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana will be guest speaker at the event and will unveil the star.
The band, popular for their hits such as "Oye Mi Amor," "Mariposa Traicionera" and "Mi Verdad," consider this one of the most special and important steps in their career. In addition to their celebration, Maná will perform Wednesday night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" According to their Instagram account, they will sing two songs from their recent studio album "Cama Incendiada." Congrats chicos!
