Billionaire superstar Madonna's homeless older brother has been arrested and required nine stitches after he was injured while resisting arrest.
Around 11 p.m. EDT Sunday, April 21, police were dispatched to the Grand Traverse County Civic Center, where 56-year-old Anthony C. Ciccone was reportedly refusing to leave a restroom, the Traverse City Record-Eagle reports. A scuffle with police ensued, which resulted in Ciccone's head striking the floor.
"He pulled away, turned around and confronted the female officer in an aggressive manner. She turned him around and brought him to the ground, which is when he struck his face on the bathroom floor," Police Captain Brian Heffner said after the incident.
Ciccone has lived as a homeless person for over three years now. He recently blamed his 54-year-old sister for his situation.
He told Daily Mail, in a story published on March 29, that Madonna "doesn't give a s-t if I'm dead or alive."
"She lives in her own world. I never loved her in the first place, she never loved me," he added. "We never loved each other."
He reportedly told the Michigan Messenger in 2011, "You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times-why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I'm homeless on the street?"
Ciccone spends his time only 12 miles away from the Ciccone family Vineyard, where his father and stepmother live. He was recently jailed for a month for being intoxicated in a church and swearing at children, according to the report. He blames his family for the incident and said, "No family backup, when the chips fell, no family backup."
In terms of where their relationship stands now, Anthony said, "I've got no beef. If she wants to live that way, that's her thing."
