M·A·C Selena La Reina: Makeup Brand Launches Second Collection Dedicated To The Queen Of Tejano Music

The wait is almost over! Our forever Queen Of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla, will make us, her fans, to shut down M·A·C Cosmetics website on April 21, 2020. And we are unapologetic about it!

Created in close collaboration with her family, the M·A·C Selena La Reina collection, is M·A·C’s new and second Selena collection - inspired by Selena’s unique music style, distinctive global influence, and undeniable beauty.

The collab includes rich shades in a variety of product categories formulated to flatter all skin types and tones while speaking to the icon’s legendary makeup looks. “The colors in the eye palette range from warm nudes that compliment every skin tone, to some rich-toned earthy browns," said Senior National Artist, Gisel Calvillo. "For lips, we have included an assortment of nudes, rose-toned and red shades that give the perfect pout. The textures run from both matte to shimmery metallic shades to play up your look from day to night.”

Suzette Quintanilla Arriaga, Selena’s sister, shared the inspiration behind the black and silver rhinestone packaging. “This collection is so special to me because it celebrates Selena’s 25-year legacy and I wanted the packaging to be fun and memorable!" she said. "The true inspiration behind the packaging is Selena’s ICONIC rhinestone bra and really led to the holographic feel for the rest of the collection so it pulled everything together!”

The whole collection is an online exclusive and will be available in North America on April 21, 2020. Consumers will have a second chance to buy the products on April 23, 2020, online at the following retail locations: Ulta, Nordstrom, Macy's, Dillards, Belk, Saks, Bloomingdales, Century21.
