Luis Miguel Lawsuit: Alejandro Fernández Suing 'El Sol De Mexico' For Breach Of Contract Over Tour

Back in October 2015, Luis Miguel and Alejandro Fernández announced they were in talks to go on tour together in Mexico in what would’ve been “Pasión Tour.” The shows would’ve taken place from April to November 2016 at the Auditorio Nacional and both singers signed a preliminary agreement so the production could begin, and they would later sign the official one once they figured out details such as who was singing first, which songs they would do together, and how many songs each performer would sing.

But in February 2016, Star Productions, the company that represents Alejandro Fernández announced the tour was canceled before any date was officially confirmed. “Despite the financial and labor-intensive efforts undertaken by Alejandro and his team to put this tour together, including separating dates for the shows planned, today we are sorry to say that the aforementioned tour is in no condition to take place,” read a statement issued by the company at the time.

“We are forced to clarify the situation so neither the media, nor promoters nor fans in general are mislead regarding a tour that, at this point, doesn’t exist."

Now, Alejandro Fernández's office is taking action and suing Luis Miguel after not only breaching the contract, but he never returning the money he had been given in advance to go on tour. Luismi was asked by the Mexican Attorney General's Office to go to court on January 25 to settle the case.

“I would have liked to please all my fans with this project as you’ve always supported me and are the reason why I can have this career,” Alejandro Fernández said. He assured he’s going to continue performing and better things are coming soon.
