It's not a normal day if the beloved 'Sol de México,' Luis Miguel, isn't making headlines.

This time, 'LuisMi' is back in the spotlight with news that are causing quite a stir. The renowned singer is facing a new lawsuit over a significant debt tied to private flights.

Raúl Aldana, known as the "Piloto de las estrellas," shared the details of the legal matter during Univision's 'Siéntese Quien Pueda.' According to Aldana, Luis Miguel owes a substantial amount of money for the private flight services he used.

During the program, Aldana explained that Luis Miguel's team stopped responding to payment requests for the aviation services provided.

"We want to reach an agreement to get paid," said the pilot, emphasizing his desire to resolve the issue amicably without resorting to harsher legal action.

The debt is reportedly between $250,000 and $280,000. Aldana mentioned the issue dated back to 2019 and persisted through 2021, showing this isn't a recent problem and has negatively impacted his business operations for years.

"'El Sol' was a great client, but he left us with a major debt," Aldana said, indicating the professional relationship deteriorated due to non-payment.

Aldana also revealed that while his company initially took legal action, they paused the proceedings to attempt mediation with Luis Miguel and his team. "I believe it's in Luis Miguel's best interest to address this situation because we have all the evidence to win in court," the pilot stated.

Aldana's decision to pursue a settlement instead of continuing litigation reflects a calculated strategy to recover the owed money while preserving the possibility of keeping Luis Miguel as a client.

This new legal issue adds to a series of financial troubles Luis Miguel has faced in recent years. From tax problems to lawsuits over contract breaches, his legal history has been a constant source of media attention.

A record-breaking tour despite health struggles

Luis Miguel's 'Luis Miguel Tour 2023-2024' has cemented his status as a global icon, becoming the highest-grossing tour of all time by a Latin artist.

The tour has grossed over $318.2 million and sold approximately 2.2 million tickets across its first 146 concerts. This remarkable achievement highlights his enduring popularity and places him ahead of other Latin stars like Bad Bunny and Karol G.

The tour, which began in August 2023, spans multiple countries, including Argentina, Chile, the United States, Mexico, and Spain. At every stop, Luis Miguel has filled stadiums and arenas, breaking box office records. For instance, his shows in Mexico generated $57.5 million, while his U.S. concerts brought in $65.6 million. In Spain, his performances also had a significant economic impact.

Despite health challenges, including bouts of pharyngitis that led to temporary cancellations, the singer has shown incredible resilience and dedication to his fans. His unmatched talent and emotional connection with audiences have made this tour not just a commercial success but a cultural phenomenon that resonates deeply within the Latino community.
