In a case of mistaken identity, a companion of Mexican superstar Luis Miguel was served papers that were meant for the Mexican singer. Luis Miguel was slated to perform in Bakersfield, CA and when his limo stopped and the process server tried to serve papers to a Latino man identified to be Daniel instead of the singer. TMZ has the video footage, where the man tells the process server that he is not Luis and that his name is Daniel. Upon being ordered to leave, the server placed the papers on the windshield of the limo, which, for the record, had Luis Miguel inside. Wondering if that counts? In accordance with California law, serving papers on a windshield counts if the recipient in inside the vehicle and the process server announced his intent in a clear and loud voice.
Luis Miguel's papers were being delivered after his ex, Telenovela actress Aracely Arambula, went after the singer for not paying child support for their two children. Luis Miguel and Aracely Arambula split up in 2008 and this isn't the first time the actress went after her ex for the sake of her children. In 2010, the actress took to Twitter to call Luis Miguel out on not spending time with their children. "We should live in the present...and what better way to do so than with your kids, no?? Well, then??," read her tweet. Earlier this year, she told People en Español that: "As a mother, this situation hurts me. My door has always been open. He can see the kids whenever he wants to. I want the best for my children and I spend the most time with them. I just wish he had a closer relationship with them."
Luis Miguel is a Mexican singer who is often referred to as "El Sol de Mexico" which translates to "The Sun of Mexico." The award-winning musician has five Grammys and four Latin Grammys under his belt, and has been professionally performing since his youth. A few weeks ago, Luis Miguel made headlines for being honored by the City of Las Vegas and the state of Nevada for his contribution to music.
