After releasing his catchy and inspirational single, "Yo Voy Pa' Encima" featuring Cuban artist El Mola, Luis Enrique has put the microphone down and has picked up the pen. The Nicaraguan salsa singer has revealed that he will debut as a writer with an upcoming book, where he will share his personal story as an undocumented immigrant in the United States.
"This is the moment to talk about these things, to tell my story, why not? It will help many people," the singer said in an exclusive interview with Primer Impacto. "My first six years in the U.S. was a learning experience, like going from kindergarten to high school at the same time. It was tough," he told reporter Tony Dandrades, revealing that he was illegal in the states for about 10 years.
In the interview, the Grammy-winning singer also talked about politics. "I have faith that justice in this country, equality, human rights, etc., prevail, whoever wins," he said. In addition to his upcoming book, the "Yo No Se Mañana" singer also revealed a new personal blog to interact with his fans. Check it out here and watch full interview below.
