Luigi Mangione, the man accused of shooting and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, arrived to court in a bulletproof vest as fans continued to gush over his appearance.

Mangione made his first appearance in public since December on Friday at New York State Supreme Court in Lower Manhattan. The 26-year-old was seen in photos and videos wearing a bulletproof vest over top of a green sweater and a collared shirt.

Despite being indicted on murder charges, Mangione has acquired a large fanbase online. Some of which were from those frustrated by the American healthcare system, while others vocally supported the man for his looks.

Those who found him attractive were quick to make their feelings known online as Mangione appeared for a hearing for state charges in connection with Thompson's death.

"MY MAN OMG HE LOOKS SO GOOD," one user commented. "He looks soooo hot," another wrote.

Several users noted his haircut and facial hair, which appeared to be styled or shaved ahead of his court date.

"The way he has a new haircut AGAIN... those prisoners are taking good care of him" one user wrote. "Looking clean-shaven and freshly groomed," another noted.

Fans of the alleged shooter had raised more than $500,000 for him ahead of his court date. Mangione previously thanked fans for the funds, as well as the letters he has received, saying in a statement that he reads "every one."

"HE'S INNOCENT," another user tweeted. "Free my man quick," one user commented.

Mangione is facing multiple charges, including first- and second-degree murder, after Thompson was shot and killed outside of a Manhattan hotel on December 4, 2024.

The 26-year-old has pleaded not guilty to state charges, but has not yet entered a plea for the federal charges he is facing, CNN reported.
