Lucía Villalón has finally broken her silence about her split from Javier "Chicharito" Hernández, following rumors of their breakup and a new romance for the soccer star. During Madrid Fashion Fest, the sportscaster was asked about her relationship. "What hurt me the most was his disloyalty, I wasn't expecting it, I was going to marry him," she said. "There's no relationship. We all make mistakes in relationships. I probably have made a lot."
After rumors of Chicharito's breakup from Villalón, he was spotted around Paris getting cozy and romantic with Camila Sodi, but neither has confirmed anything. "Everyone has their own life and each one has their reactions or time of mourning, what ever you may call it," she added. "If he has remade his life, hope it goes well for him. Just like one expects to be respected, I will have to respect the times everyone has."
Speculation that Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and Lucia Villalón had split and are no longer engaged started weeks ago. Spanish media first reported that the couple have broken up and had cancelled their wedding. The pair had recently updated their Twitter profiles and neither have the "1422" that symbolized their relationship. A screenshot of Villalón's had the number at the end of her bio, but it is no longer there. The couple still follow each other on the social network and they both have photos together on their Instagram accounts.
What was the reason behind calling it quits? Initial reports pointed to their distance. Hernández and Villalón met when the Mexican striker was at Real Madrid in Spain, where she is from. When Chicharito moved to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, it took a hit on them. Lucía is now allegedly back in her home country as she is affected by the break up. The "1422" that symbolized their union were there lucky numbers. For Chicharito, "14" is the number he uses on the field and for Lucía, "22" is a lucky number that she even has tattooed on herself. Neither camp has broken their silence on the rumors.
