'Lo Que La Vida Me Robó': Who Shot Montserrat?

"Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" has viewers ingrained in this massively addictive telenovela. The series starring Angelique Boyer as Montserrat and Sebastián Rulli as Alejandro has the public tuning in night after night to find out what happens to the characters and what messy situations they get involved in. The Univision primetime soap is only a couple episodes behind the Mexican broadcast and we have some juicy plot twists that will occur in the coming weeks. Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert! Alejandro is fleeing from the corrupt Pedro Medina that wants to imprison him. At the same time, Pedro finds out his wife is pregnant from her lover and had been hiding it from him. Montserrat attacks Pedro Medina to help her friend escape from him. This makes him extremely upset and sends out Maria to kill her.

Alejandro plans to keep his family and friends safe and arranges for a private jet to take them out of the country. It is too late as Maria finds her way to Montserrat's home and shoots her on Episode 114. Nobody saw Maria and Montserrat is rushed to the hospital. Jose Luis has Alejandro's phone that contains a video message for his wife. In the message Alejandro explains to Montserrat to let her be helped by Jose Luis as he was on their side. Alejandro is contact-less and he doesn't know the tragedy that his wife is facing. Meanwhile Victor and Nadie are pressuring Alejandro to leave without his family as their life is in danger. On Episode 107 after Angelica's health deteriorates she asks to speak to Montserrat, which José Luis refused to, but agreed on the last minute. Angélica made Montserrat and José Luis reconcile in front of her. She later spoke to Montserrat privately and told her to make sure José Luis ends up happy, with a woman that will give him a family. Angélica wants Montserrat to be part of his life after she dies and not to abandon him. She reiterates that she wanted to be the godparents of Montserrat's baby, in case something ever happened to Alejandro, they would have each other as support. Her last moments were in bed with her husband José Luis. She asked for a kiss and cuddle, she opened her eyes, looked around and seemed to be happy with the life she led. It was a truly sad scene that you will not want to miss. "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" airs Monday through Friday at 9pm/8c on Univisión.
