Episode 142 has Montserrat and Alejandro professing their love for one another. Alejandro takes Montserrat inside the church and in front of God asks her to tell him she still loves him. Since Alejandro is a runaway nobody is able to know he is alive and in Agua Azul. For now they will have to keep their romance on the down-low. Meanwhile, José Luis (Luis Roberto Guzmán) is talking to Mamá Rosario and reveals to her that Alejandro is dead. She doesn't act surprised as she knows the truth about her son which will probable raise suspicions on the new police chief. Graciela (Daniela Castro) is yelling and screaming (as usual) at Fabiola (Lisset) and told her that Sandro (Francisco Gattorno) is only using her and will run away when he gets her money. This sends Fab's into overload and stars chugging down a wine bottle. Alejandro and Montserrat plan to meet later that night and he begs for her to go, if not he will go crazy.
Montserrat is getting ready to go see her man and José Luis walks in on her looking beautiful and glamorous. She scrambles for an excuse and José Luis insists on going with her to go see Nadia. Montserrat reminds her husband that he agreed to help out Dimitrio (Osvaldo Benavides) move out of the house, but is shut down again. Montse can't seem to get rid of the guy and tells him that she will call Nadia and excuse herself from visiting her. Meanwhile poor Alejandro is waiting, waiting and waiting and is getting nervous because Montserrat doesn't arrive. He remains hopeful that Montserrat will arrive soon although several hours have passed. While José Luis is helping Dimitrio move out, a piece of furniture falls on his foot and decide to go to the hospital to have it looked at. This will probably create the perfect opportunity for Montserrat to have a chance to meet up Alejandro, but we will find out if this happens on the next episode.
