Angelique Boyer, star of Univision's top-rated telenovela "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó," is mourning the loss of her mother Sylvie Rousseau. The news broke this morning as Juan José Origel on "Hoy" announced the sad news. Rousseau had been battling with cardiac complications for weeks and had undergone several surgeries. Boyer's mother had just been practiced an operation on June 11, where she remained in intensive care, then transferred to a different hospital where she ended up dying. Earlier this month the French-born actress had asked her Twitter followers for O-positive blood as her mother was in dire need of it.
Production of the Televisa soap has had to halt filming after the recent events. Origel mentioned on the show that Angelique had been in the studio recording scenes and at the end of her call, she went to her mother's side. Now it is being reported that Angelli Nesma and her crew will have to alter the production schedule to accomate Boyer as she goes through this difficult situation. "Lo Que La Vida Me Robó" is close to wrapping up in the coming weeks. The telenovela that also stars Sebastián Rulli and Luis Roberto Guzmán ends broadcast in México on Sunday, July 27 in a special two-hour presentation.
"Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" is set to replace the telenovela starring Angelique Boyer on Monday, July 27. Starring Marjorie De Sousa and Pedro Fernández, this is the intricate tale of Sofia, the oldest of three sisters, who takes the helm of her family’s chocolate factory after her father’s death. Engaged to a man who is ambitious and using her as a stepping stone, she feels an immediate and mutual attraction to Salvador, a race-car driver who, due to some unfortunate circumstances, is working as her chauffeur. Sofia and Salvador never tire of demonstrating that despite the hurdles, love is possible.
