Univision's primetime telenovela starring Ana Brenda Contreras and Iván Sánchez comes to an end tonight. "Lo Imperdonable" has been a soap that had its ups and downs, but this last month of episode have been so fun, in an ironic way, that we will forgive them for not making a "La Mentira" remake on par with the previous versions. The soap ended weeks ago in México and we have spoilers for you here! Although we will probably forget that this novela ever existed, we did like how campy it got in the last episodes. We ended up liking how bad it was and we turned it into a game of spotting all the errors on tv, just for kicks. There are some things we will miss and these are the reasons why you can't miss the finale tonight!
1. Ana Brenda Contreras & Iván Sánchez: Say what you want about the plot, these two had incredible chemistry. Although the writers could've exploited them a little more as we felt their characters were under developed, they pretty much made us continue tuning in every night. The passion Verónica (Contreras) and Martín (Sánchez) had for each other sizzled our screens and this would be the main reason to tune in for the finale.
2. Ana Perla & Pablo: This was the secondary storyline within "Lo Imperdonable" and we kind of liked it as well. Although it seemed like it didn't fit with the main plot and it should've been it's own, independent telenovela, we loved Ana Perla (Gaby Mellado) and Pablo (Sebastián Zurita) and we hope they have a happy ending.
3. Niño Emiliano: Poor "Niño Emiliano," he has had no luck with love. Verónica does not want anything to do with him because her one and only true love is Martín. When he decides to give that crazy Virginia (Grettel Valdez) a chance, she totally uses him for his money. She never really loved him. All in all, Emiliano (Sergio Sendel) was a nice guy and he actually deserves to find a little love.
4. Nanciyaga, The Queen Of The Jungle: Another crazy b*** that was evil, just for the heck of it needs to quit trying to get Martín. He never even liked her, so she needs to step away from him and look elsewhere. Can't her "caracoles" tell her who her other man is? Let's hope she finds that person and leaves forever.
5. Magdalena: Verónica's mom has had nothing real to do in this whole telenovela. Her storyline was to find her daughter, which she did, and then she was just a glamorized extra after then. Having Claudia Ramirez in your cast, and not exploiting her is a travesty and that was really "unforgivable" of the writers and producers. It'll be fun to see what else SHE DOESN'T DO in the finale.
6. Dr. Sexy: We never quite understood what Daniel (Osvaldo De León) was. Was he evil? Was he just hypnotized by crazy Virginia? He was a doctor, he had some sort of common sense, right? Either way, what kind of ending does he deserve? Probably go to jail and lose his license to practice medicine, because he only used it to have Virginia get her way. But he was too sexy though. Priorities!
7. Green Screen: Another reason you can't miss it is to see if you spot any green screens. The production was so bad, we guess they couldn't afford to go back and forth from those beautiful, exotic locations we saw during the first episodes. To remedy this, a lot of the scenes in the jungle were shot inside a studio with a green screen back drop that would later be replaced by those scenes. It was very obvious when they weren't really there, which made it fun to watch.
8. Juan Gabriel Theme Song: Another one of our annoyances was every time Ana Perla and Pablo had a scene, they played "Siempre En Mi Mente." Let's count how many times this gets played during the finale.
9. Verónica & Martín Kisses: We also want to count how many times the main couple kiss. We hope it's a lot because they deserve all the happiness in the world.
10. It's A Finale: It's the last episode, that alone warrants we watch the "Lo Imperdonable" finale, otherwise what will we talk about tomorrow at work? "Lo Imperdonable's" last episode airs tonight at 9pm ET/PT on Univision.
