After winning his first World Cup title earlier in December, Lionel Messi, 35, is celebrating an unforgettable Christmas with his family.
Aside from winning the Golden Ball as the tournament's best player, Messi, scored two goals against France in the finals to secure the 2022 FIFA World Cup title in Qatar on Dec. 18. Argentine soccer star celebrated the holiday with wife Antonella Roccuzzo and their three sons, Mateo, Thiago and Ciro, via an Instagram post by Roccuzzo.
Roccuzzo, Leo's childhood sweetheart from his hometown Rosario, Argentina, captioned the post with a silvery Christmas tree and the Messi family, "Feliz Navidad."
Messi's 2022 Christmas wish appeared a week before the holiday. The Paris Saint-Germain forward, hoisted up the FIFA World Cup trophy for the first time in 16 years, after he made his World Cup debut in Germany 2006.
It was Argentina's first World Cup title in 36 years. La Albiceleste won it all behind the legs of Diego Maradona, who was the best player of the 13th FIFA World Cup tournament in Mexico City.
In seven matches, the Silver Boot award winner, scored seven goals and had three assists throughout the World Cup in Qatar.
