Lionel Messi Posts Christmas Photo With Family As They Wait For Santa

FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi is in the holiday spirit as he posted a Christmas photo with his family. His longtime partner, Antonella Roccuzzo, whom the Argentine player has known since the two were children growing up in Rosario, posted the picture of Messi and their son on her Instagram account recently.She captioned the photo with “Waiting for Santa Claus with my loves” and with today being Christmas Eve, the Messi family certainly does not have to wait long for Jolly Saint Nick. Messi has had a great start to the La Liga season as he currently is second in the league in goals behind rival, Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi became the all-time goals scored leader in La Liga last month when he past Telmo Zarra’s record of 251 career goals. Messi also beat Ronaldo to the UEFA Champions League all time goals record as well. Early this month, Messi scored a hat-trick against Espanyol in a 5-1 thumping.The 27-year old looks comfortable in this beautiful picture as they watch their son Thiago, play with what appears to be an iPad or tablet. The Messi clan is dressed in their pajamas and has a clean white Christmas theme when it comes to their decorations in the background. The white winter Santa is holding skis and poles and their tree matches him beautifully as it is frosted in a snow-like feel. If you look at the bottom right of the photo, it even appears the Messi’s have set up a nativity scene as well.
