Lindsay Lohan Accounts Seized by IRS Ahead of December Court Date for Car Crash Hearing

Today, in part 767 of our on going saga, "The Trials and Tribulations of Being Lindsay Lohan," our heroin has her accounts seized by the IRS.

The "Liz & Dick" star's accounts were seized by the IRS in an effort to recover $233,904 in unpaid taxes from 2009 and 2011 and an unspecified amount from 2011, TMZ.com first reported. The IRS reportedly grew impatient with the sometime actress when she failed to pay her debt after earning a reported $2 million last year.

"I'm very concerned," dad Michael Lohan told the New York Daily News. "Where is all her money going?"

"I care about one thing: Lindsay's life," Michael Lohan said. "I know she's drinking again, and that's bad enough. What happens if she goes to jail? They don't detox you in jail. I want her in rehab. I wanted her in rehab six months ago."

The asset freeze arrives at a very inconvenient time for the former "Mean Girls" actress. The 26-year-old Lohan is due in court Dec. 12 for an arraignment on three misdemeanor charges related to her June car crash and may need to pay for a new bail bond if Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Jane Godfrey revokes her shoplifting probation.

This is just the latest in a seemingly never-ending stream of problems facing the young Lohan. The actress has been imprisoned six times now, according to ABC News, although she has spent less than two weeks in jail. Last year, she spent 35 days under house arrest after pleading no contest to stealing a $2,500 necklace. She remains on informal probation for that theft, which means she doesn't have to check in with a judge or probation officer but could face a jail term if arrested.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner took Lohan off probation from her 2007 DUI case in March. While in court, Sautner commended Lohan for doing "everything that this court has asked of her," including completing 60 days of community service and multiple psychological counseling sessions, and offered her some advice: "Stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work."

Recently, Lohan was once again arrested. In the early hours of Nov. 29 and charged with third-degree assault after reportedly taking place in a brawl at trendy New York City nightclub Avenue, reported ABC News. Lohan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge after she allegedly punched Tiffany Eve Mitchell at Club Avenue on 10th Avenue and 17th street at around 4 a.m.

As for that IRS debt, Lohan received a helping hand from actor Charlie Sheen. The self-proclaimed "warlock" and co-star of Lohan's in "Scary Movie 5" gave her $100,000 toward paying off the debt.
