There is still a legion of fans of Lily Allen and of Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy on “Game of Thrones,” who are surprised that the two are blood related, siblings no less. Now that they know, they are starting to wonder how Lily could have dragged her brother on a song she wrote back in 2006.

Tweet after tweet showed how stunned everyone is, not because of Alfie's achievement, after his Emmy nomination was confirmed, but that he is related to Lily Allen.

“I don't know what I'm more enthused by, the fact that Lily Allenwrote a song about her loser brother who is now an Emmy nominated actor in one of TV's most iconic shows OR the fact that Alfie and Lily Allenare fuckin' siblings! SIBLINGS!” one tweet reads. “Alfie Allen and lily allenare siblings ?!? And she wrote a song about him being a loser?!” another reads.

What astounded them further is that even though Lily is all congratulatory now and proud, Alfie was the subject of her songs in 2006. In that song, Alfie was labeled as a no-good stoner who could not even be bothered to get up because he was high.

People are now tweeting the irony of a sister lambasting her brother and calling him a “stoner jobless loser” on a song that many fans come to hear and know about and then now praising him because of his Emmy nomination.

“My baby fucking brother is nominated for an Emmy,” she shared in her Instagram story. “No one deserves it more. I am so fucking proud of him even without an Emmy nom, but OMG he has an Emmy nom. GO ALF!!!!!!!!”

Still, this does not imply that Lily is a bad sister. In fact, it could be her lyrics that motivated and pressured Alfie to push for and pursue his career goals, leading him to this Emmy nomination.

On her part, Lily had long since explained. She told Pitchfork in 2006 that she wasn't that popular yet when she wrote Alfie. “When I wrote 'Alfie,' nobody really knew who I was,” she elucidated. “At first he was really upset about it, because he thought that I was just pointing out all of his bad points and attacking him.”

It seems too that Alfie has no plans of stopping just because of his successful work as Theon Greyjoy of “Game Of Thrones.” Instead, he recently joined the cast of “Harlots” to play another complex character.

In this season of “Harlots,” Alfie is going to portray a pimp, Isaac Pincher. He is no ordinary pimp as he is both hot blooded and charming. This character is also eloquent, which makes it suitable for Alfie to play.
