This year 's edition of the Life Ball in Vienna, one of the world's major charity events, has been a success and has enjoyed the presence of many familiar faces. Celebrities like U.S. president Bill Clinton joined entertainers and artists to contribute to the fight against one of the greatest epdiemics confronting the world: AIDS.
Ricky Martin was on hand to open the dance with his World Cup anthem song 'Vida', a performance that exuded pace and blew the audience awaay. The Puerto Rican artist is very outspoken in the fight against HIV and AIDS, and was therefore reportedly thrilled to be part of this event that has been raising funds for the cause for the last 21 years . Courtney Love was another famous musician that was present at the event: the singer was part of the parade organized by Franca Sozzani, also attended by the Spanish actress Rossy de Palma.
One of the big surprises of the celebration was the presence of Bill Clinton. The former U.S. president attended the gala banquet, which cost 2,500 euros to attend. Conchita Wurst, the winner of the last edition of Eurovision Song Contest was also present. Since she burst onto the scene a few weeks ago, the singer has become popular across the world, particularly as a notable transgender singer.
