Less Than 4 in 10 Americans Approve of Biden In His Final Full Month In Office

The latest Gallup survey showed that president Joe Biden's job approval rating remains low in the final days of his presidency.

Americans continue to shape their views of Biden's administration through their dissatisfaction with the economy, the study showed.

39% Americans approved of Biden's performance in the last poll for the year, a figure that's remained consistent since 2021, shaped predominantly by Americans' economic outlook, the findings showed.

Partisan divides are stark: 85% of Democrats approve of Biden, while just 7% of Republicans agree.

Economic confidence, measured by Gallup's Economic Confidence Index, highlights broader frustrations such as inflation, immigration, and an ongoing discord between Congress, Senate, and the president's administration.

The index plunged to -58 during the 2022 inflation surge, where it rose to a 40-year high of 9.1%, but has recovered to -14, its best level since August 2021, Gallup's results showed.

Democrats, 27%, remain optimistic of Biden's performance, while 43% of Republicans are pessimistic.

Only 19% of Americans are satisfied with the country's direction, the lowest rating since July.

A survey by New Marquette Law School Poll found that Biden is on track to leave office with the lowest approval rating since he arrived to the White House.
