Excellent news Korra fans! Nickelodeon has revealed that they will air two new episodes of "The Legend of Korra" every Friday starting July 11th. The company announced the news via Twitter. Check out the tweet below by Nickelodeon confirming fans will see two new episodes of Korra every Friday.
In a response to a question by Twitter user the company tweeted, "@reiko4509 At the moment, the schedule is slated to have two new eps air every Friday starting on July 11 at 8pm/7c." So that means the next time we see "The Legend of Korra" we will see not one but two new episodes and most likely the older episodes will air for before the new so expect at least two and half hours of Korra July 11.
This news is basically a double-edged sword for "Avatar" fans. On the one side fans won't have to wait for episodes and will get their Korra fill every Friday but that also means season three of the popular show will be over before you know it. That means by August 8, fans will see the finale episodes of season three of "The Legend of Korra."
This move is possibly due to the leak by Nickelodeon's Mexican affiliate MundoNick, who accidentally aired episodes three through six of the current season. This may just be Nick's answer to still capturing those viewers, which they desperately need. According to Hypable season three of the series premiered at an all-time low comparatively to previous seasons.
Perhaps after episode six, "Old Wounds," airs the ratings will go up as fans will need to know what happens next. Only time will tell but something good needs to happen because the direction we are going in with Korra is not a good one and leaves us worried for the series and its future.
"The Legend of Korra" returns July 11 with episodes four and five "In Harm's Way" and "The Metal Clan" at 8 p.m., ET.
