Fans of the hit show "The Legend of Korra" should rejoice. Not only was it announced that the show wil be returning this year and fans got a peek at the upcoming season but now it has been announced and confirmed that the soundtrack for the first season is on the way as well.

The soundtrack for "The Legend of Korra" Book 1 is set to be released next month, and a new track has become available which can be heard via Speakeasy.
"I can't begin to summarize the 9-year struggle [Mike DiMartino and I] have endured to get any sort of a soundtrack released," Konietzko wrote on his Tumbler. "We love Jeremy [Zuckerman]'s music deeply, and we know the fans do too, so it has been an incredibly frustrating wait and battle to make this a reality."

Konietzo wrote to his Tumblr saying the soundtrack is being released by Nickelodeon and Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, and will be available for preorder until it officially drops on July 16th. It consists of 26 different tracks with exciting titles like "Left My Heart in Republic City" and "Beifong's Sacrifice."
There is also reasons for "Avatar: The Last Airbender" fans to be hopeful. Jeremy Zuckerman and sound designer Benjamin Wynn added an addendum to the announcement of "The Legend of Korra" soundtrack writing, "If this soundtrack sells really well," they wrote, "It'll be very likely that an [Avatar: The Last Airbender] soundtrack will happen."
