A Hollywood lawyer claims that he allegedly paid off the delinquent taxes of Hunter Biden that amounted to more than $2 million.
Kevin Morris, an entertainment lawyer and novelist, says he footed Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes that totaled over $2 million. This was more than twice that of which was previously reported according to a source in a report from The Post.
Morris, referred to by Biden’s friends as his latest “sugar brother,” added that he has also been funding Biden’s lavish lifestyle in Los Angeles. This includes rent and living expenses according to the source. Other than that, the attorney says he has been advising the President’s son on how to structure his art sales.
In 2021, Hunter Biden took out a loan to cover his tax bill. This was after he revealed that he was under investigation for defrauding the Internal Revenue Service.
Hence, an up-to-date tax bill could make it difficult for prosecutors to convict Biden, a blow that could hinder their intent to win a lengthy sentence, the New York Times reported.
Normally, tax prosecutors would argue that paying an overdue balance would not affect a fraud case because the evasion still occurred. However, there is a chance that a judge and jury would be more sympathetic.
Morris is the founding and former member of the firm, Morris Yorn Barnes Levine in Los Angeles. He has also represented different celebrities. Among them include Matthew McConaughey, Ellen DeGeneres, Scarlett Johansson, Liam Hemsworth and Chris Rock.
In 2014, he also published a collection of short stories and also published his debut novel, “All Joe Knight.” It was listed on Amazon and was the Best Book of the Month in Literature and Fiction in December 2016.
Biden has been under investigation for failing to pay taxes, something that dates back to when his father, US President Joe Biden, was vice president.
From there, investigators began probing whether his international business dealings intersected with President Biden’s political career.
