The New York stage is set to be taken over by some of the biggest stars in Latino entertainment. A crowdfunding campaign has been launched on Indiegogo by the acclaimed director Manuel Mendoza, supported by stars like Julián Gil, Marjorie de Sousa, Adamari López, Rodrígo Vidal, Roberto Manrique and Raúl González. Beginning on the 24th of March, 8 Latinamerican countries will work together for one cause: to put Latino culture on the world stage - literally.
Miami has been a witness to the success of Latinos in the US. After eight years of hard work, the city can today enjoy a theatrical listing with a fundamentally Hispanic flavor. Manuel Mendoza, founder and director of the creative boutique 'El Idearium' is one of the latinos with his sights now firmly set on New York. However, Mendoza is not going on this journey alone. He will be accompanied by some the biggest figures of the screen and stage from 8 different countries acrsoo Latin America.
Mexico will be represented by stars like Rodrigo Vidal, Ariel López Padilla, Gabriel Porras among others. This campaign is launching thanks to a joint effort from Colombia, México, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Cuba, Perú and Argentina. Artists from each country are coming together to make latin american art and culture synonymous with success in the American theatre industry.
