Latino Actor Victor Rasuk Cast In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Movie As Jose

A Latino actor has been cast as Jose! And while we have not yet recovered from William Levy being snubbed from "Fifty Shades of Grey," the latest movie casting certainly eases the pain. Victor Rasuk will now be a part of the main cast of the highly anticipated "50 Shades of Grey." The Dominican-American actor is best known for his role of Cam in the HBO series "How to Make it in America," before his notable TV role, Rasuk acted in films such as "Stop-Loss" and "Lords Of Dogtown." Although his as Jose in "Fifty Shades of Grey" is sure to be his biggest role yet.

So now with a Latino in the mix, fans should prepare for some fun from Rasuk's Jose character. In the steamy trilogy, Jose is descried by author E.L. James as "all shoulders and muscles, tanned skin, dark hair and burning dark eyes." Wow! Rasuk and his smoldering eyes certainly fit the bill, but how does his character enter the erotic plot line? Despite Jose being a secondary character, he plays a central part in the plot, because he has a close relationship with the female protagonist, Anastasia Steele.

Steele, who will be plays by Dakota Johnson, in the film is a seemingly average college student, but of course that's before she meets Christian Grey. Jose and Anastasia met during their freshman year at WSUV and recognize each other as "kindred spirits." The pair become very close, however, the relationship is not necessarily passionate, Anastasia sees Jose as "the brother she never had."

Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing the adaptation of E.L. James' bestselling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey" for Universal and Focus. Filming is set to begin in a matter of weeks, but if you are just dying to catch the first glimpse of Jose check out Victor Rasuk in "Godzilla" which is set to be released this Summer.
