The Grammys, which honor the best in music, will be handed out on February 5, 2023 IBT

The 24th annual Latin Grammys will take place on November 16 in the Spanish city of Sevilla this year, and the lineup for the event has been announced.

Last year's edition took place in Las Vegas with Marco Antonio Solis being awarded Person of the Year and Rosalia taking home Album of the Year. This will be the first time the Latin Grammys touches down in Sevilla.

Spain is present in the contemporary Latin music industry with artists like Rosalia and Lola Índigo, but veterans such as Alejandro Sanz and Enrique Iglesias already graced charts for decades.

A destination like Sevilla would open new doors for the academy and allow artists to reach a broader audience, said Manuel Abud, CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, during a press conference, "It is a gateway for artists to bring their music to Spain, and to Europe," he added.

Furthermore, the recording academy stated in a press release, "The announcement also marks the official start of a three-year partnership between The Latin Recording Academy and the Junta de Andalucía, who will sponsor the 24th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, Latin GRAMMY® Week, as well as several Latin Academy events in the community. In addition, Sevilla joins the celebration as host city for all the events during this year's Latin GRAMMY Week, which will precede the Latin GRAMMY® telecast."

The three year partnership will consist of many events throughout the week. "This year's Latin GRAMMY Week includes the Person of the Year Gala, the Special Awards Presentation, the Leading Ladies of Entertainment luncheon, the Best New Artist showcase—which recognizes the nominees in that category—and a nominee reception, among others," states the academy.

As the event gets closer, the Recording Academy took it to Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 17) to reveal the first lineup of performers - Maria Becerra, Bizarrap, Feid, Carin León, Christian Nodal, Alejandro Sanz, Kany Garcia, and Rauw Alejandro.

Alongside these performances, fans will be tuned in to watch top-nominees like Edgar Barrera -13 nominations. Karol G, Shakira, Camilo, Kevyn Mauricio Cruz, are among the artists who have accrued the highest amount of nominations in this edition of the event.

The Latin Grammys will go live from FIBES the Conference and Exhibition Center at 8 PM – eastern time – on Univision, UniMás and Galavisión in the United States. Additionally, at 10:30 PM it will be streamed on Radiotelevisión Española in Spain.
