Victoria Ruffo returns to telenovelas with "Las Amazonas." The Televisa production will reunite Ruffo with César Evora after starring in soaps like "Abrázame Muy Fuerte" and "La Madrastra." As the melodrama premiered in México on Monday night, the opening credits were unveiled. Queen of telenovelas Ruffo gets first credit followed by Danna García and Evora. The theme song is a beautiful classical piece with the voices of Carlos Marín from Il Divo and Innocence. Watch the video below and tell us what you think!
On "Las Amazonas," Ruffo gives life to Inés Huerta, a mature, beautiful and simple woman. She adores her son, Emiliano, and loves and protects Victoriano's daughters because she has raised them as if they were her own, regardless of the love she has always felt for him. Inés is the only person who has the power to confront Victoriano, because she is the only one who knows the secrets that torment him. This is why she always tries to persuade him to reveal the truth about his past to his daughters. She is old-fashioned but has a modern mentality. She is intelligent and will learn how to make up for her mistakes in order to reach happiness.
Evora plays Victoriano, an intelligent and good-looking man with a strong personality and father to Diana, Casandra, and Constanza. Owner of the dairy processor Sanlact and a purebred horse stable, he is clever for business and became rich really fast, but he was surrounded by suspicions as it all happened after his friend Vicente’s death. He is married to Déborah, a woman who casted a spell on him with her youth and beauty; but he has a tempestuous history with Inés, the housekeeper and nanny of his daughters, whom he loves hopelessly.
