After much hesitation and false information, Larry Hernández’ extradition to South Carolina was finally confirmed last Wednesday. By Thursday, the media officially reported that Hernández was in route to Newberry, where he will have to face kidnapping, third degree assault and battery by mob charges.
Even though it’s been a week since his journey to South Carolina began, the exact date and time of his arrival is still unknown. However, “El Gordo y La Flaca” revealed that the singer is closer to is destination and may arrive in Newberry soon, “@larryhernandez continues on the road to #Newberry he’s stop at 1:30am last night had to be filed, he is accompanied by 4 other inmates and is expected to arrive to his destination soon.”
Larry’s girlfriend, Kenia Ontiveros, and his mother, Manuela Ceniceros, travelled from California to South Carolina together with Telemundo’s cameras, the only network who got exclusive access during their trip. According to Telemundo, the singer’s family members are keeping a positive attitude towards the situation and are excited to see him, neither of them have received any news since the singer left California.
“Since they took him, I haven’t had any sort of communication with him,” said Ontiveros. “I don’t wish this upon anyone, it’s something very horrible.” Larry’s mom, Doña Manuela, concurred with Kenia and added her faith is what is keeping her strong throughout this devastating situation, “It’s very hard, very sad, to tell you the truth. But God gives me strength, I leave everything on “Virgencita de Guadalupe’s” hands, San Judas Tadeo and all the other Saints that can help me.”
24 hours after his arrival to Newberry, Larry Hernández will have to meet the Judge in court to face charges and find out his sentence once and for all.
