Multiple reports from Mac Otakara and Chinese site United Daily News are reporting that Apple is still in development of a larger iPad. The size of the iPad is still unknown and tends to change with each report. The report refers the iPad to being 12 inches but a report from The Wall Street Journal is saying that Apple is actually testing a 13-inch iPad.

The report suggest that Apple is working with Quanta Computers, who currently the company's MacBook Air supplier. The Current iPad supplier's are Foxconn and Pegatron but the report says that Quanta is attempting to diversify themselves and jump in the iPad arena. The new iPad and next generation iPad mini 2 were expected to be announced at Apple's September 10 iPhone media event but were unfortunately left out.

The company is expected to announce the next-generation iPad and iPad mini 2 at another Apple event either this October or November. The fifth-generation iPad is expected to take on the same aesthetic design of the current iPad mini and the new mini is to gain a Retina display.

There is no official release date for the fifth-generation iPad or iPad mini 2. Though an original report on the larger iPad suggested that it could launch early next year.
