After Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom on Dec. 13, 2013, the basketball player is back in touch with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two kids, Liza Morales. "Lamar has been talking to Liza in the last few weeks, and she has been a tremendous source of strength for him," a source close to Odom revealed to Radar Online. "Khloe was always insanely jealous of Liza and that is why Lamar distanced himself. He now recognizes that was a mistake."
Lamar and Liza were together for 10 years. They got engaged and separated in 2010, shortly before he married Khloe Kardashian in an over-the-top televised ceremony that aired as part of the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" series. Although the former couple has rekindled their friendship, their romance might not follow with the same luck. Even their daughter Destiny, 15, was asked on her now deactivated Ask.Fm account if she thought her parents would get back together, to which she replied that it will "never happen."
Nevertheless, she, her brother Lamar Jr., 11, and her mom are welcoming Lamar to their dinner table for the Holidays. It was reported that the NBA star will be spending Christmas in New York together with his children and his ex. Of course, that prompted the rumors of a reconciliation even more, disregarding what Destiny had already stated. So Liza took it to her Twitter to put a rest to this case once and for all. In a very diplomatic response, she wrote, "The new rumors are so ridiculously false, they are actually somewhat comedic. Being cordial is always beneficial when children are involved."
As for Khloe, she is rumored to be dating baseball player Matt Kemp, but a source told Hollywood Life, ""The main thing now is that they're friends and they're both not trying to begin anything romantic so soon. Khloe's still sad over her marriage to Lamar and is in a lot of pain," the insider said. "Matt's helping her out a lot by being there, being her workout partner and being a friend. He's been a good friend to her and she's cried on his shoulders, literally, because she's still hurting after having to divorce Lamar."
