Week 13 of the NFL proved to be another exciting slate of games, with multiple games coming down to the wire. A lot was learned as the playoffs get nearer and nearer.
Here’s what we learned from the NFL week 13:
1. Bengals Are Legit
The Bengals came away with a huge victory over the Chiefs, who might be the favorites to win the Super Bowl. The Bengals have turned their seasons around after a slow start and have now won 4 in a row. The Bengals appear to be figuring things out at the perfect time as they are now tied for first place in the AFC North.
2. Deshaun Watson’s Return
Watson returned to action for the first time in over 700 days after being suspended. He struggled, finishing with just 131 passing yards and an interception. The rust was clear and it seems it’s going to take him time to get adjusted to NFL action again.
3. 49ers Keep Winning
The 49ers have the longest winning streak in the NFL at five, after beating the Dolphins despite losing Jimmy Garoppolo for the rest of the season. They subbed in Brock Purdy, who finished with 2 touchdowns and an interception. The 49ers, despite a massive question mark at QB, are establishing themselves as one of the best teams in the league.
4. Cowboys Huge Blowout
The Cowboys beat the Colts 54-19 on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys' offense rushed over 200 yards and scored 7 touchdowns. They’ve won 3 in a row and and have one of the best records in the league at 9-3. Dallas is getting it going at the right time.
5. Lamar Jackson Injury
The Ravens pulled out a tight 10-9 win over the struggling Broncos but lost Lamar Jackson to injury. In a contract year, it remains to be seen what the Ravens are going to offer him. Jackson’s injury is estimated to be days to weeks long. The upcoming weeks could be huge for Jackson and the Ravens going forward.
