Lady Gaga has been outspoken about accepting oneself as they are and she just fired back at her body shamers in the best way possible. The "Born This Way" hitmaker performed during the Super Bowl 2017 halftime show and people on social media commented negatively about her physical appearance. Words got back to Gaga and she released a statement to put all those bullies back in their place.
"I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I'm proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too," she wrote on Instagram. "No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don't need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That's the stuff of champions. thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys. Xoxo, gaga."
Lady Gaga put an amazing performance during the big championship game. She started out at the top of the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas as drones illuminated the sky forming the United States flag with the red, white and blue colors. Gaga then later dropped into the stadium to sing some of her biggest hits like "Poker Face," "Born This Way" and "Bad Romance." Although her appearance wasn't blatantly political, the words and choice of her songs, tell everyone where she stands. Lady Gaga has always been an advocate of inclusion and people from all walks of life coming together.
