Ricky Martin and Simon Cowell are looking for the next stars in the making. 'La Banda,' which airs this fall on Univision, aims to put together the world’s ultimate Latino boy band through the largest Latin talent search in US TV history. Aspiring contestants (Boys that are U.S. residents and age 14+) will compete for a spot in "La Banda" and a recording contract with Sony Music Latin, home to the most prolific Latin artists, and Syco Music, the label that created the world biggest selling boy band – One Direction. The cross-country search for the ultimate Latino boy band begins in Los Angeles on March 7, 2015.
From there, the search will continue to Puerto Rico, Houston, New York, Chicago, and Miami. Auditions and Registration can already open online through Univision. Hosted by popular personality Alejandra Espinoza, 'La Banda' will premier in September 2015. The first audition will be held March 7 in Los Angeles. The registration will take place from 8am-10am at Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Ricky Martin will be one of the judges and is also producer of 'La Banda.' Ricky will also be the manager of the winning band.
