"Veronica Mars" fans were excited to learn Krysten Ritter would reprise her role of Gia Goodman in the "Veronica Mars" movie.

Krysten Ritter took to Facebook to confirm she would appear in the "Veronica Mars" movie.

G-G-G-Gia!!!! I'm thrilled to be reprising my role of Gia Goodman in the Veronica Mars movie!!! It's gonna be very juicy. Veronica Mars has a special place in my heart because it was my first big acting job (!!!!!!) and it was also one of the most lovely on-set experiences you could ever ask for. This will truly be an awesome shoot, not only because we all get to be reunited (can't WAIT!) but because of the revolutionary way this all was able to come to life! Thank you, thank you, thank you to Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell, Kickstarter, and most of all, to you, our AMAZING FANS, for making it happen. I'm honored to be a part of it!

US Magazine reports that "Veronica Mars" fans were instrumental in getting the movie project green-lit when the show's creator Rob Thomas began a campaign on kickstarter.

The "Veronica Mars" kickstarter campaign raised $2 million in one day from fans eager to see Kristen Bell, Krysten Ritter and the rest of the "Veronica Mars" teen sleuth gang on the big screen.

"Veronica Mars" ran on the CW from 2004-2007. For three season Kristen Bell worked to crack cases and balance high school life and drama.
