Aside from "Final Fantasy XV" the next "Kingdom Hearts" title is probably the most highest anticipated title to come from Square Enix. Since the titles announcement there has been a lot of speculation on what fans will see when the title launches. Besides new characters, stages, bosses fans want different modes and they may get their wish. According to a recent job listing the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts III" could have an online feature or mode of some sort.
The careers website for Square Enix has a job listing for an individual to work in the Osaka branch. The job description is quite informative as it says something about the individual being constantly online. Check out a rough translation of the job description below courtesy of Attack of the Fanboy:
“In charge of general technical assistance (workflow construction, selection of middleware etc) in Implementing the high quality graphic expression or Kingdom Hearts III. In charge of construction duties for a shader on the game engine for nature representations (water, rain, snow etc) and special effects (magic etc) etc, constantly online games.”
In past games the "Kingdom Hearts" titles have mainly been single player experiences. It will be interesting to see how Square Enix will incorporate an online co-op mode. Most likely gamers will have access between the three main characters; Sora, Goofy or Donald Duck. As to what they'll be doing is anyone's guess as this is new territory for "Kingdom Hearts."
Meanwhile a post by Sony in the official PlayStation blog confirms that "Kingdom Hearts III" will not arrive in 2015. So we'll just have to wait and see what this multiplayer feature is when the game arrives in 2016.
